Since it began in 2011, MiamiMusic Week has rapidly expanded to turn the city into a massive electronic music festival, attracting around 200,000 fans to see 1,200 musicians performing in 85 locations over the course of six days.
Miami Music Week embraces all electronic genres and sub-genres, taking over the city's clubs, theatres, pubs, and conference centres. It brings together music lovers and industry professionals to celebrate and advance the music they love. FISHER, Kygo, Steve Aoki, David Guetta, and Tiesto are just a few of the musicians who perform at clubs, festivals, and pool parties.
Ultra Festival – Miami
One of the main events, Ultra Music Festival, returned to Miami last year after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At Bayfront Park, more than 165,000 people from more than 60 nations gathered to see and hear their favourite performers. Over the course of the three days, helicopters circled the region and watched attendees flood into the arena, while thousands more tuned in to the festival's different live feeds to enjoy it from a distance.
For almost two decades, Ultra used to be held in downtown Miami. In response to objections from residents of downtown Miami, city commissioners decided not to renew the festival's contract in 2018. The festival relocated toVirginia Key in 2019, but in 2022 it moved once again because of additional problems and noise complaints.
Musicians performed on more than four stages throughout Bayfront Park. Some performers, like Forester, made their Ultra stage debuts, while others, like Alesso, made their eagerly awaited comebacks. When Hardwell finished his set with explosions and pyrotechnics pouring out of the stage, the event came to an explosive conclusion.
Alternative Music Events
In addition to Ultra, other major events during Miami Music Week include Get Lost, RaptureFestival, HARD Miami, and Paradise Miami. After a three-year break, Rapture Festival returned to Virginia Key Park for their 10th anniversary and featured several underground musicians. Despite the fact that many of these Music Week events have age restrictions, there are still places in the city where everyone can hear great music.
Miami Music Week provides the perfect opportunity to throw exclusive after parties on your own private yacht charter in style. During these events Miami private yacht charter will become more expensive due to heightened demand, so be sure to book your Miami private charter sooner rather than later.
